Competence center for
energetic materials
KCEM was founded in 2002 in Alfred Nobel's Karlskoga in response to a growing need for a unifying force in the field of energetic materials. Today, we bring together large parts of the Nordic explosives sector and other businesses that in various ways work with or encounter energetic and other reactive materials. From the mining to the space industry.

We help people develop safety.
Mission statement
KCEM promotes training, cooperation, development and continuous improvement of safety for companies, organizations and authorities in the field of energetic and other reactive materials.
Our vision
We have a zero vision together with our members.
No person should be seriously injured or die at their workplace in an accident involving energetic or other reactive materials, due to lack of knowledge or safety.
No person should be seriously injured or die at their workplace in an accident involving energetic or other reactive materials, due to lack of knowledge or safety.
Our mission
We work to maintain and develop the relevant skills of our members and customers, to increase the safety of all those who work with or encounter energetic and other reactive materials in their work.

Skills and safety,
safety and community.
When it comes to our safety, we are not competitors. We need industry colleagues. Together with our members, we at KCEM work towards the zero vision that no person should be seriously injured or die at their workplace in an accident involving energetic or other reactive materials, due to lack of knowledge or safety. We do this, among other things, by creating natural meeting places for knowledge exchange and offering unique training in the field of energetic and other reactive materials.
KCEM AB is owned by the non-profit organization Intresseföreningen kompetenscentrum energetiska material (IKEM), which consists of our members. With the combined strength and expertise of our members, we act as a referral body on important issues and see it as our task to influence and inform about changes in regulations both nationally and internationally. With great expertise in the energy field and a network that extends across several industries, niches and countries, in addition to training, conferences and e-learning, we also offer advice, analysis and support in small and large issues to companies, organizations and authorities. KCEM is for you and everyone who works with or encounters energetic and other reactive materials in their work.
